The weekend has begun and ended on a pretty high note. I got to see John Jay last night before & during youth group, which was much to my surprise as I didn't even ask. I'll take anything I can get though. That was definitely fun. We hadn't had quality time in a while so it put me in a good mood. Then another surprise came later that night when the youth group decided to go bowling. Fun stuff.

As for today, it was merely okay. It was mostly like any other day except for the fact that my art teacher wants to use my project in an upcoming art show. Pretty surprising actually, as my project is definitely on the weird, absurd side. I found out that there's a softball meeting for school tomorrow supposedly at 2:30. On the bad side, all the teachers are assigning massive amounts of work in preparation for the midterms. I'm starting to get stressed because I know that I have to do well on the midterms, but I can't force myself to sit down and study yet. I really had better work on that.

One thing that I forgot is that in German, we're taking some standardized testing. Usually I'd say that would be bad, but you can win an all-expense paid trip to Germany for a month. 3 of Frau's students have won the trip before, so apparently it's real.

I also learned the other day that over the summer in August (assuming my team qualifies for Nationals), I'll be going by myself to North Carolina with the team. My mom said that's probably what's going to happen because it's cheaper, plus I'll be able to see what it's like to go by myself. Hopefully they'll be driving because I hate planes. I'm kind of scared, I have to admit, but it will definitely be fun. More on that when the time gets closer.

Now I'm off to go watch my brothers test for their orange belt.
